MOFO strolled into town in the midst of our “So Bad, It’s Good” rotation and we shuffled our rotation order a bit to allow one of our Founding Fathers to bring this Pick to Dick’s Street.
While no one in this flick goes for eleven, Rob Reiner has now directed a whopping three Picks (‘Stand By Me,’ ‘The American President’) tying with John Carpenter for our second most often viewed director (Spielberg still holds the title). Fran Drescher, Ed Begley, Jr., Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer debut with this Selection, and Michael McKean now has two picks under his belt after his debut in ‘Clue.’
“You can’t really dust for vomit.”
