Hard to believe it, but Movienight is Three Years Old!!!

Unbeknownst to Tooda, this Pick in honor of our Third Year would spark a rotation of cannibal cinema that would take us all the way up to (and into) our eagerly anticipated Halloween Horror Cycle.

This well loved, and little known gem had been on Nubby’s radar as a potential Pick for some time too. But it seemed it would never play in the Back Yard as ‘Parents’ wasn’t released on DVD. Or so it seemed...

Tooda discovered that Bob Balaban’s quirky little film WAS released on DVD as a double feature. Hence our Third Anniversary Selection.

Though Bob Balaban doesn’t appear on screen, this marks his fourth foray (‘CEOT3K,’ ‘Bob Roberts’) into Movienight after his debut sucking off Jon Voight in MONA’s ‘Midnight Cowboy.’ Randy Quaid also hits four here (‘Breaking Away,’ ‘What’s Up, Doc?,’ ‘The Last Detail,’ and ‘The Last Picture Show’).

Next up is WildCard’s return and the last Pick before our Horror Cycle begins...
